In the 19^th century, the British bred Staffordshire Bull Terriers as a small, fast fighting dog.  Now, these dogs are known as wonderful companion dogs who are courageous, intelligent, and full of love.  They are especially great with children. The Staffy requires early obedience training and socialization.  After that, they will be your friend for life.  At 30-36 cm in height and 12-17 kg, he can look like an imposing dog.  But owners of the Staffy know how good breeding has made this gladiator of a dog into a playful companion who is clever and brave.  They are not family-oriented dogs with a reputation for being patient with children.  They are easy to keep looking elegant with an occasional bath and weekly brushings to pull out dead hairs.
