Whippet

The Whippet is an affectionate and loving dog who stands 48-55 cm in height.  At 11-18 kg, he is sleek, graceful, and fast.  The Whippet resembles a Greyhound but he is smaller.  The Whippet is quick and eager to participate in activities of pursuit.  After an intense workout, he is happy to stretch out and lounge around with the family.  Even though they love to run, they can live in any environment as long as they are taken out for playtime.  Originally bred for hunting, the Whippet is just as happy doing other activities.  They are great at agility and flyball and they do well in obedience training.  The Whippet is a breed that makes a wonderful therapy dog because of their loving and loyal disposition.
